I am a current MOE SAP school teacher, and I have more than 20 years of experience in teaching in schools and giving tuition. I believe every student has the innate ability to excel only time is required. The role of a tuition teacher is to guide the student along the right path, and shorten the learning curve of the student, thus saving precious time for other subjects.
In guiding my students, I love to point out the critical points, and shorten the time needed to learn the most important part for each topics. This will help my students to focus and to score higher. However, the students need to practice the questions so that they will know how to apply the basic concepts and be able to handle the questions smoothly during exams.
I also like to ask questions to make my students think and analyse, and it is one of the most effective way to learning and excel.
The students that benefits most from me are usually those who are committed and need someone to explain to them the concepts so that they can understand faster. I have many students who have benefited from me, improving from a F grade to an A in Maths and Physics.
My years of experience from teaching in school and giving tuition has enable me to know the common careless mistakes and where students usually have difficulty in understanding. I also know the different method or ways of explanation so that they can understand faster and easier.
