(Update - As a professional full-time tutor, I believe that it is important to keep abreast of any major changes in the exam syllabus and paper format. With the recent revamp of the GCE 'O' level English paper, I "re-sat" for the revised paper as a private candidate to understand first-hand the new exam requirements and challenges - please refer to the "Qualification" section for my latest result)

I am effectively bilingual (with A1s in both English and Chinese) but I specialize in English tuition for all levels, and have obtained the certification in Effective English Tutoring awarded by the British Council. My two-decade long tuition career began during my student days in Raffles Institution (RI) when I would coach Primary School students on weekends. After graduating with First Class Honours from NTU, I worked as a lecturer with an Institute of Higher Learning under MOE and also taught in various private schools and tuition chains, thereby accumulating valuable experience in working with students from different backgrounds and of different academic abilities.

As an advocate of lifelong learning, I have been featured in both the Straits Times and AsiaOne for having attained long-distance certifications from more than 50 world-class universities, including Harvard, Stanford, Princeton, MIT, UC Berkeley, Johns Hopkins and Wharton (all certificates are available for your perusal) and I strive to pass on this same passion for learning to all my students.

Commitment Level

I specialize in English tuition for all levels, including the following

- Pre-school - Primary School - Secondary School (IB/IP/GCE 'O' Level/GCE 'N' Level) - Junior College - University (including Effective Communication modules) - Adults

I am a professional full-time tutor who is available for any suitable tuition assignments 7 days a week (from 9a.m to 10p.m daily). I am committed to the long-term progress of my students and have abided by this philosophy for the past 20 years. Teaching is more than a job for me - it is also my passion.

Subject to my schedule availability, I can start immediately.
