I am currently studying in the National University of Singapore, majoring in Computer Science. I am very good at teaching others how to do computer programming, having started on it at the age of 10. Other than that, I am also good at teaching mathematics and English as I take pride in my command of the English language. I have always consistently done well in English especially at the secondary level where I regularly ranked amongst the top in school in English even though I come from an English school. I am very passionate about computer science and I am confident that I can impart my skills and knowledge in it even beyond what the syllabus requires.
As I have work experience as a web developer, I am very strong in that area. I successfully assisted a poly student to complete his Grails based web application assignment and implement extra features such as using the Google Maps API. I have also tutored another poly student from start to end of her website that implements the Twitter API.
I recently tutored a poly student in completing his project which involved receiving and send SMSes and MMSes automatically via an SMS modem.
Currently, I am tutoring two students. One of whom is studying computer science for IB using Java and the other is preparing for the National Olympiad using C++.
Commitment Level I can start immediately and will be able to do so probably until I graduate from university, which is in 2012. I don't travel much during the holidays so I will be free to tutor even during the holidays.
