Experience/Remarks

I have been teaching Secondary Mathematics and Science for the past 10 years. I am currently a statistical analyst after serving as a full-time teacher at Newcastle Education Centre. Majority of my students have seen drastic improvements in their academic results under my guidance as a tutor. Some have improved from a D7 to A1 in just five months of tuition. My ability to explain mathematical methods and concepts in great detail is the building block for my students to attain their desired grades and some are able to take Additional Mathematics in Secondary 3.

My teaching philosophy as a an educator is to be able to bring out the potential that in hidden in the child. As the saying goes "If you are not willing to learn,no one can help you but if you are determined to learn, no one can stop you". Hence, I will always identify the key interests and aspirations of the students and be ready to offer my advice on how to achieve their goals and targets. With regards to the learning of Mathematics, it goes beyond just practicing problem sums and memorizing equations. It is being able to associate your learning with real situations to make study of Mathematics very enriching and engaging.
