Usually I start on the weaknesses first and explain the concepts underlying that the student does not understand, followed by drilling of the concepts such that the student is completely comfortable with the topics he/she is weak at. I continue until it is near his/her exams, where time trials begin to come in to simulate examination stress, conditions and time management.
