Other Qualifications

I was offered the NTU Nanyang Scholarship, the SMU Scholarship and the Accountant-General's Department Scholarship for my university education. I accepted the NTU Nanyang scholarship and I am currently taking Double Degree in Accountancy and Business in NTU (first class honours).

I received the Raffles Top Scholars Award in Sec 4 for outstanding academic performance and the MOE Pre-U scholarship in JC1 and JC2. Besides this, I achieved Distinction for the Australian Mathematics Competition from 2002 to 2006. In the New South Wales International Competition for Schools (Science), I achieved Distinction in 2002 and High Distinction in 2003. Also, my PSLE aggregate is 266 with 3 A* and 1 A and a merit in Higher Chinese.

I have taught my friend for a year in RJC and his results in H2 Maths have improved from S in common test 1 to B in common test 2. His results in H2 Chem have also improved from U in common test 1 to D in common test 2. He even got into the top 20 best improvement in Chemistry. He achieved 4As in H2 Maths, H2 Physics, H2 Chem and H2 Econs for A levels. 2 of my students have achieved As in H2 Econs in 2008 A levels.

I am very patient with my students and I try my very best to simplify difficult concepts so that students can understand them better. I feel that tuition is a chance for students to ask questions and clear all their doubts whenever they are unsure. I believe that as long as the student is willing to learn, he or she will definitely succeed. I took Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics in RJC and I achieved straight As in the A levels. I provide good quality and useful notes for my students.

I have been relief teaching in Montfort Junior School for a month and I am very familiar with the primary school syllabus. I have taught classes from primary 1, 2, 3 and 6. I aim to generate interest about the subjects in the students so as to motivate them to engage in self-learning and do better for the subjects. I understand that younger children have shorter attention span, hence I try to make my lessons as interesting as possible.

Besides this, I have also taken 3 JC2 students in H2 Maths and H2 Chem and I am currently taking a JC2 student in H2 Chem.

Commitment Level

I will prefer to teach female students.
