Experience/Remarks
I have preference in teaching Science although I do teach other subject as well. Personally I find Science an interesting subject to both teach and learn. Most of the times students are weak in Science because they usually do not have the basic concepts correctly put across to them. Just like Mathematics, foundation is important in Science too.
Other than this, most students have problems dealing with Science because they have difficulty inferring and interpreting information from the questions, especially when the information are provided through graphs, charts and experiments-basis.
I have 3 years in experience in providing home tuition to students. I have taught 1 Secondary 2 student and 2 Primary 6 students Science to date. All 3 Students have shown improvement at the end of the term of teaching.
Also, I have taught H2 Economics for a short stint of 2 months prior to the student's A Levels.
Currently, I'm teaching 1 Secondary 1 student Science & Maths and 1 Primary 3 Science & Maths, 2 Primary 6 students Science. I'm also teaching a Pri 6 Science class in a RC at Hougang on Sunday afternoon as well another Pri 6 Science class at a tuition centre in Ang Mo Kio on Thursday evenings.
Other than these stated time slots which I cannot commit due to the fixed lessons, I'm quite fine with teaching on weekends as well as weekday evenings.
