Experience/Remarks

Since the end of my A level examinations, I have been teaching and have never looked back. During the few months before I entered into university, I relief taught at Jun Yuan Primary School and Coral Secondary School. At the same time, I also started giving private tuition and have continued to do so for the past four years.

Over these past few years, I have tutored many students who were preparing for their O and A level examinations and have successfully helped them to achieve at least three grade jumps. For example, one of my past students got an A for her A level History paper after she had scored an AO pass during her A level prelims. Her GP improved to a B3 after previously scoring D7. Another student got a B for her A level History paper after repeatedly failing the subject through her first year in JC.

I specialize in the more Arts-based subjects like History, Literature and English because I have a passion in these topics and I believe this translates into the way I teach my students. My pupils are not just students to me, they are friends too and I invest in every single one of them a lot of time and effort because I want my pupils to be pushed to the fullest potential that they are capable of. I hope the pupils under me can learn how to look beyond the mundane details of textbooks and start cultivating a true passion for learning.
