Experience/Remarks

I specialise in Mathematics for all levels. My history of teaching ranges from students in primary school, secondary 3-4, junior college and also polytechnic students studying computing and engineering (difficulty of maths is higher than A levels). In my university days, I have been approached by friends and classmates to give them tuition in subject areas that they are weak in. Exact details are available upon request through coordinators.

During my school holidays, I taught for 3 weeks in a school, taking classes of students sitting for A levels. I was able to understudy teachers and learn their methods of teaching from them.

Having taken Further Maths in JC as well as S paper, I am well equipped to assist any student who needs guidance in improving his/her Mathematics abilities. Despite sitting for the old A level syllabus, I have tutored students under the new A level syllabus and they have improved from E to A grade for A levels.

Group Tuition can be arranged so that each student can pay less for the same quality of teaching.

Though my main subject is Maths, I am willing to answer Physics/Chemistry qns.

I have flexible teaching methods depending on the needs of the student. If you want a Question-and-Answer approach, or if you are looking for topical revision, I am able to adapt my lessons to suit your needs. All I seek is the student's effort to work hard.

Commitment Level

It is my goal to help students to grasp the concepts well and to spark their interests in Maths/Science so that they will start getting As from middle of term 3 onwards, until final exams. This will improve their confidence level, help them to be more independent and rely less on tuition. At the same time I do reiterate that parents have an important role to play in supporting their children and making sure that their children are conscientious and make the effort to be flexible, as some methods which children use are normally time-consuming and prone to careless mistakes.
