Experience/Remarks

The entire philosophy of my teaching revolves around empowerment. I believe in coaching the student, instead of teaching him/her. Identify what are the areas which the student is having problems with, find out the root of the problem, and tackle it. This is so that whoever that goes through this coaching process, can become self reliant, relieving dependency on the tutor or the teacher in school, and ultimately achieving long term excellence in further studies and life.

My sessions with the student involves a lot of participation and interaction. It is crucial for me to know the student well, so that I can identify his/her strengths, and enhance them. As a tutor, I resolve to pass on wisdom and ignite the fire within each individual student to inquire and question. Only through questioning can one further his knowledge and understanding of the world around them. I stand for that, and I stand the students seek not just to excel in examinations, but to gain passion for learning.

I currently have 5 O level students, and all of them after being taught by me, have developed a strong desire to learn, and love for studying. Again, I can't do magic. All I can do is to ignite that fire to learn, and provide my experience in studying to achieve results. A large part still lies with the student. I guarantee my commitment to the student and my 100% to have him/her excel.
