2014 GCE A
(Hwa Chong Institution
General Paper (A), Geography (B), Economics (A), Mathematics (A), Literature in English (A)
I am a current Economics undergraduate in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and am a recipient of the Nanyang Scholarship.
I took H2 Mathematics as an A-level student in Hwa Chong Institution. During this time, I consistently obtained 'A' grades for all CTs/block tests as well as the eventual A-level paper, despite Hwa Chong's particularly challenging internal papers.
I have teaching experience with three students thus far
- In 2015, I took a JC1 H2 Math student from Anderson JC, who posted improvement in her Promotional Exams, from C to A.
- In 2016, I taught a Secondary 3 E/A Math student from Coral Secondary, who posted improvement in her Final Year Exams from D7 to A2 in A Math and C6 to A1 in E Math.
- In 2017, I taught a JC2 H2 Math student from Jurong JC, who posted improvement in his Preliminary Exams, from D to A. His A-level results are currently pending.
In 2017, I also held a Teaching Apprentice at The Learning Lab, Singapore's leading provider of enrichment services, completing an internship during the school vacation and then teaching part-time during the semester. I managed long-term two P5 and one P4 class, with 85% of students demonstrating improvement in their SA2, and was trained in classroom management and group teaching techniques. I also conducted short-term Secondary A/E Math cover classes.
Commitment Level I am available to teach immediately on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, as well as during the weekends, and will be able to continue teaching through the whole of 2018.
