I worked as a teacher at a student care centre after completing my A Levels from December 2014 to June 2015. I was assigned to the lower primary students during the first 3 months of my stay there, after which, to the upper primary students. I have also helped kindergarten and lower secondary students. My job scope mainly consisted of supervising and assisting students with their homework assignments, revision as well as their weekly spelling. The subjects I taught included English, Mathematics, Science, Malay, Elementary Mathematics. Each class consisted of about 20 students each. Moreover, I was able to develop my interpersonal skills by continuous liaison with parents regarding their child's academic performance and behaviour in the classroom.
I am currently undergoing my undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore and am majoring in Statistics. I'vehad a strong and natural affinity for mathematics from a very young age and this can be seen from my resultsA* for PSLE Mathematics, A2 for both Elementary and Additional Mathematics at O Levels and A for H2 Mathematics at A Levels. Having a flair for the subject, I decided to pursue a major in a related field, Statistics,in universityand I've never regretted my decision since. Commitment Level I am generally free everyday up until the 1st week of August. After the 1st week of August, I am mostly free during the weekends up until late November. As for the weekdays, I will have to coordinate with my school's timetable.
