I have joined the National University of Singapore as a PhD student starting this year (from August 2015). I will be in Singapore atleast for the next four years.

I have no formal tuition teaching experience as such. But I believe that being a student myself I am capable of helping out a junior student. Neither am I familiar with the school syllabus and curriculum in Singapore. That is why I would prefer to teach a Secondary 1 or Secondary 2 student, where I can familiarize myself with the syllabus on the go. I prefer teaching Maths or Physics.

In studying any subject I think practice is the most important thing is practice. Inspired by the methods that my teachers used to follow, I will be giving one practice questions sheet to the student at the end of every week (based on what I taught that week), and try to cover most of what I taught that week. Next week I would clear any doubts that my student might have. Overall I will try to instill confidence in my student and make him/her interested in the subject, so that he/she is encouraged to work hard.

Commitment Level

I can start from January 2018 and can continue till the end of this academic year. I can take 1 to 2 classes per week depending on the students preference. I am looking to take only one student.
