I have been teaching for the past 5 years since after my O levels. My specialty is in Chemistry and Science (Chemistry). My students have improved from F9 to A1 for their Science (Chemistry) after being tutored by me. I also teach Lower Secondary Mathematics and Science. Students have been getting at least a B3 for their grades.
My teaching style is usually lecture-tutorial style. I will cover content for the first half of the session followed by practice questions for the second half. There will be no homework given 80% of the time as I believe that students nowadays have more than what they need to clear for their homework from school. On top of that, quality vs quantity. I do not believe in asking students to practise a lot of questions repeatedly. It should be do it once, do it right. So that time can be spent on covering more of the parts that they are weak in.
For O level students, it will be a different strategy. It will be more of practising of examination papers and Ten Year Series beforehand, so that the paper can be gone through during the session itself and from there, priming the parts that the students are weak in.
Commitment Level I can start immediately. I will be unavailable during end of November due to University Examinations.
