Experience/Remarks

Hi I'm Michelle and I graduated in UK, majoring in Accounting, Business and I.T. My Major is Maths. My grade in Maths had always been 'A's. I was the top 5 winner in West Zone Singapore and top 20 scorer in International Maths Quiz in 1994. I had participated a few competitions such as creative writing and science clubs events. I took part in 1998 Hewlett-Packard Global Business challenge and SES (stock exchange) competitions and got through the final stage. I have strong interest in Math, Tax, Accounting and Conversational English. I have been tutoring Maths and English since 2000 in Singapore as well as in UK from age of 3 to 16 years old. In my opinion, students tend to dislike or lack of interest on their weak subjects. Therefore, I prefer to have a fun tutoring session such as creating a maths game to keep their interest going so that they have the urge to learn more particularly understanding the basic, concepts and logic. I do not believe in 'forcing' or pressuring students in my class. I love tutoring and always find myself making good friends with my students and their families. It is very rewarding when I have students tell me that I have had such a positive influence on reducing their stress levels which allows them to prepare more effectively for their exams. I look forward to hearing from you!

Commitment Level

I love the challenge and wittiness of Maths. My goal is to make students love Maths. I love teaching and always find myself making good friends with my students and their families. It is very rewarding when I have students thanking me when they passed their exams.

I take tutoring seriously and prefer to teach long term than short term.
