Waiting to start in NUS Electrical Engineering Next year
I've been teaching for two years now after my college. My students range from primary school to secondary school students. During this period, I've taught both primary and secondary school mathematics and science subjects. When I first started tutoring them, their grades were quite bad. However, with constant teaching and guidance, most of my students improved with some of them eventually getting distinctions.
My method Of Teaching
1) Before the start of any new topics, I would go through with the student so that student will have a better understanding of the topic as a whole. This way, student's knowledge would be enhanced with not only the knowledge gained from school but as well as from my revisions. Key Points of the topics will be told along the way.
2) Providing of Questions as well as Hw for students to practice as well as to test students understanding of knowledge that he have been given. This will provide students with a platform to hone their knowledge and sharpen their understanding of the topic.
3) Reviewing of Questions/HW. I feel that this is the Important part of a student's learning process. Learning from mistakes is a key component of Learning. By going through with students their mistakes, students will be able to clear their misconceptions that they have. Also, it is through their mistakes that their weaknesses can be found. 4)Providing tougher questions to enhance student's capability
