Experience/Remarks

I believe that the biggest reward in giving tuition is seeing your students develop a true sense of joy in learning and enriching themselves.

Being an undergraduate student myself, I am able to understand my students well. As such, I am able to build a strong rapport with them, as well develop close friendships. Of course, I do not let such friendships come in the way of teaching my students.

I also enjoy broadening students' educational perspectives by linking their school work to real-life experiences. By doing so, I also give them an enjoyable time where they enjoy the lesson instead of just going through the motions.

I have 6 months experience tutoring two Primary 6 boys English. After their tuition, they both improved tremendously and achieved an A in their PSLE.

I have also 4 months of experience tutoring a Secondary 2 Student English. His grades improved from a C5 to an A2.

I have also given remedial classes to classes of primary school students on weekends at Anglo Chinese School (Junior). These classes usually consisted of 10-15 students who were considered underprivileged and whose parents were not able to afford extra tuition classes.

I have also tutored a class of Korean students in preparation for their Supplementary Admissions Exercise for International Students (S-AEIS) tests.
