-Performs informal observations of child at home and school so as to plan and execute effective intervention plans for children with special needs.
-Works closely with parents and teachers (if required) throughout the intervention process so as to ensure consistency in child's learning
-Tracks child's progress with regular assessments (e.g interviews, work samples, data recording sheets, checklists, etc) so as to monitor continual mastery of targeted goals.
2007 Present (4 years)
-Assess students's current level and targets strengths as well as area of concerns to be worked on.
-Selects appropriate teaching resources to cater to child's learning needs and interests.
-Plans interesting lessons based on students's learning topic (e.e science experiments)
-Uses a variety of teaching approach such as MI approach which encompasses bodily-kinesthetic, musical, naturalistic, etc, as per age appropriateness and topics involved.
-Provides tuition for students ranging from Nursery (4 years old) to Primary 6.
-Follow up with parents on their concerns and plans ahead for upcoming term and/or semester's teaching.
