Experience/Remarks

I have had 3.5 years' experience in tutoring English, Geography, and Piano to students of various ages. My teaching method varies according to the needs of my students, as I recognize that some students perform best under pressure, while others excel when given more time, attention, and care.

School has always been a joy in my life. I believe that one of the main reasons why I have always excelled in school is because I never hated it. To excel in anything one does, he or she has to be passionate about it. Hence, I want to pass on my passion for the subjects I have studied to those who need it, so that they can excel academically today for a brighter tomorrow.

I currently have a Grade 3 student who was, unfortunately, forced into taking piano lessons by his parents. Just like most kids, he hated practicing, and has tried many ways to convince his parents that he should be out in the field, kicking a soccer ball, rather than playing the piano. His parents have gotten him tutor after tutor, in hope of finding a suitable one for him. After some time, I have managed to subdue him, by patiently sharing the beauty of music with him. Now, he spends much time practicing at home, as this is evident from his progress thus far.

Commitment Level

I can start immediately. Weekends preferred, as I have university commitments during the weekdays.
