Experience/Remarks

I have only had 2 students under my care. The first, a female in primary 4 and the second a male student currently in secondary 3. The female student is a relation. I am tutoring the former in english and math whereas the latter is brushing up his mathematics under my guidance. Both have been with me for 2 years now.

The secondary 2 student was in normal academic and recently managed to move up to the express stream due to his stellar improvement in mathematics to a 'B' grade from previously failing. He had put in his fair share of work as I had pushed him by giving him multiple lessons a week with my full attention on him. His mathematics improvement alone had given him the promotion. The primary 4 female student has shown steady progress in her goal of acheiving a PSLE score of 250 and above. She has moved up from constant 'C's to 'A' and 'B' averages after simply one year. After focussing on her grammatical errors and providing her parents helpful information on her study methods, she has been able to concentrate better resulting in better grades.

Currently, I am focussing on teaching mathematics to 2 Primary 5 Twin girls. Higher order thinking and difficult sums are explained to allow students to broaden minds and approach math sums with a greater ability to understand and solve the problem easily.
