Experience/Remarks

From a normal neighbourhood secondary school student to a First Class Honours Graduate in Materials Science and Engineering from NTU under the Nanyang Scholarship, while having excess time and energy to enjoy serving as the President for one of the NTU Hall of Residence.

My personal experience is the best testimony of my own success methodology in studying. I went through a tough road of developing my own "study smart" strategies and exam scoring tactics. Now, I wish to share these experiences with my students and hope that they can benefit from these habits.

I understand that each and every student is unique and special. Thus, their learning experiences are also customised according to their needs. I am also a strong believer of reducing the side effects of traditional "tuition reliance syndrome" and work towards developing each and every student to enjoy seeking their own knowledge. This is important later in life in tertiary education where being independent in learning is crucial to obtain a good Honours Degree.

Learning journey does not just stop just at PSLE, O Level, A Level or Diploma. They should learn their fundamental well in these levels, score good grades for admissions and scholarships, and then apply their fundementals in his/her degree. Academic is also just part of life, I hope that by studying efficiently and effectively, they can do other things they like in life.

Beyond being a tutor, I aspire to be a life coach for my students.
