Experience/Remarks
I have experience in tutoring O level and A level Maths and Sciences subjects. One girl from Yishun Town Secondary School improved her physics form C6/D7 to B3 in her O levels another boy, from Commonwealth Secondary School, improved his physics from C5 to A2, his Chemistry from F9 to A2 and his A Math from C5 to A1 in his O levels. My other student, who was from ACJC, and whom I tutored in H2 Math and H2 Chemistry, improved his H2 Math from D to A and his H2 Chemistry from S to B in his A levels! I take delight in knowing that my students all improve. I have experience in solving math and sciences problems on the spot and explained the logical approach clearly to my students and i am patient with students who are slower learners.
I was consistently placed at 98th percentile (and above) for my H2 biology and H2 chemistry and 99th percentile (and above) for my H2 math throughout my JC days. When teaching students, I will let the students choose whether they want to go through notes/textbooks before attempting questions or to tackle questions and then review their weaknesses. This helps students to understand their own learning styles better.
I'm currently tutoring students in subjects ranging from IP Maths and Sciences, to O level E/A Math, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, to A level H2 Math and H2 Chemistry.
Commitment Level
I can start immediately and can only commit myself till late September this year. Therefore, I prefer to teach Sec 3/JC1/IP students who are not taking their major exams this year end. However, if the Sec 4/JC2 students are comfortable and confident of handling the last few weeks on their own, I'll be very happy to commit myself to them.
Additionally, I provide all my students phone/SMS/email support if they encounter problems outside the tuition sessions. They are welcome to ask me when they need to clarify a concept in their revisions.
