J1 H2 Chemistry (6 months) - Student from PJC improved from E during Common Test to B during Promos.

J2 H2 Chemistry (2 months) - Student from NJC employed me 2 months before A levels after scoring S for Common Test 2. Thereafter, he improved to a C for prelims and finally, B for A Levels.

Sec 4 Maths (1 year) - Student from Raffles Institution improved from C to A for Sec 4 IP Exam.

Sec 4 Chemistry (6 months) - Student from Kuo Chuan Presbytarian improved from F to B within 3 months and immediately got removed from "Probation List"

Sec 4 Chemistry (6 months) - Student from TKGS improved from C6 in March Exams to A1 for prelims and A1 in the 2010 GCE O level.

Sec 4 Chemistry (3 months so far) - Student from Anglican High School improved from a raw score of 46 for his CA to 60 for his 2010 prelims and subsequently, A2 in the 2010 GCE O level.

Having just graduated from top schools like Raffles Institution and Raffles Junior College, I am very familiar with the syllabi and I feel I am in the best position to share tried-and-tested study tips and revision techniques with my tutees.

Commitment Level

I am extremely professional and committed towards bringing out the best in my tutees.

I strongly believe that in order for students to excel, it is insufficient for them to merely read the textbook and do their routine homework. It is imperative for them to practise extensively to be exposed to the many different ways questions can be phrased/posed so they can apply their knowledge appropriately when faced with challenging questions (which the MOE and GCE often use to separate the A grade students from the B grade students).

Besides providing them with past-year practice papers from a wide range of sources, I also make it a point to go through topics/chapters with my tutees just before they are being taught in school. This has proven to be extremely effective in helping them to absorb better in class when their teacher teaches it as they are more or less familiarised with what is being taught and can grasp the topic with a higher level of understanding.

I seek satisfaction from seeing my tutees improve and excel under my tutelage and aspire to be a top-notch part-time tutor!

I can start teaching asap and will be available anytime during the weekends throughout year 2011.
