Experience/Remarks

I have the experience of giving tuition to a J2 student from TJC for Maths. He subsequently got an A for the subject for A Levels.

I believe the subject Maths is easy to master. To excel in the subject, the student has to have a strong foundation in concepts first. Many students lack this in them. I will help them clarify and cement their foundation. I achieve this by going through topic by topic, the essential concepts the students must know. Furthermore, I will assess the student's ability to understand these concepts by giving them very simple questions to attempt to test their understanding. And I will highlight to them their common mistakes and tell them what their weakness is for what kind of questions.

After which, all the student needs is polishing by doing practice. In Maths, it is always about practice and I will be there to answer any doubts the student will have. This is the method I have used for my student and it has proven to work. I believe this step-by-step methodology to teach my student will be beneficial for any student regardless of their academic level in Maths.
