Experience/Remarks

I have 6 months experience teaching Primary 3 and 4 Mathematics in 2009. i have been assisting a Secondary one student in Mathematics since he was in Primary 6.

For the initial stage of tutoring, i will get information of the standard and background of the student. lesson style will be dependent on the student's standard. I will get the student to highlight his or her weaker topics. for those topics, i will go through the concepts thoroughly. i believe that grasping the concepts for mathematics is the most important step to obtain the best results. moving on, i will get the student to do the basic questions and next, to the more challenging questions in different forms and exam styles.

For preparation of exams, key points and common mistakes will be identified together with the student during lessons for every topic. the student will be given more practices and tests to drill him or her and to get used to the exam format. Students will be trained to handle test questions accurately and efficiently within a limited time to improve on their speed in tackling them.
