Other Qualifications
My academic performance has always been outstanding. Not satisfied with merely A grades, I have consistently been placed above 95th percentile of my cohort through my secondary school and junior college education in the science and mathematic subjects especially in Physics and Mathematics.
I am currently an undergraduate in National University of Singapore pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with intention to do a Major in Statistics and Minor in Financial Mathematics.
Experience/Remarks
I have 2 years experience of guiding weaker students during the time in upper secondary as I did well in school. I was able to grasp concepts fast and was therefore able to assist the understanding of my peers regarding more difficult topics. The 2 peers whom I was specifically appointed to received A's for their Mathematics and Additional Mathematics in their O levels.
I was also a volunteer tutor during the 2 years in Temasek Junior College to help guide upper primary and lower secondary students from needy families in their studies.
I have taught a Sec 1 student from the Normal stream for Mathematics and Science. He was able to pass his Mathematics exams for the first time in two years after being taught by me for only 4 months. I was replaced by another tutor halfway because the student needed help with his mother tongue which I cannot speak. However, the student found the experience with me so good that he specifically requested his mother to rehire me after just 2 months.
I am currently tutoring one JC1 student in Physics and another JC1 student in Mathematics and Physics.
Commitment Level
I can start ASAP and is willing to take any student till graduation from university in 2013. I am available during weekday nights (1900-2200) and the weekends (1000-1900).
