Experience/Remarks
My strongest subject is Chinese and thus I choose to only tutor Chinese-related subjects. I obtained an A in both 'O' Level Chinese and Higher Chinese and an A in 'A' Level General Studies in Chinese.
I was fortunate enough to top the O Level examination in year 2007 with a raw aggregate of eight points and receive the Scholastic Award from my school.
I am passionate about teaching and hence I sincerely want to be dedicated to home tutoring where one-to-one attention is given to the student to bring out the best in him or her. I have the confidence to be a good tutor because I know the importance of motivating and understanding students' needs. I have accumulated many teaching materials as a study supplement for students, some made by myself, to help prepare them for exams, especially for O Level Chinese. I always tell my students, it is the skill that matters, not the answer.
Chinese essay writing and comprehension of all levels are of no difficulties for me to coach, not to mention Chinese oral skills. I tutored my classmates and juniors who were weaker in Chinese and Higher Chinese both in secondary school and junior college on a regular basis. Their results improved significantly after getting help from me and they started to speak Mandarin more confidently and properly.
As for my teaching methods, I will tailor my lessons based on the student's ability and try as much to make them interested by sharing personal stories on studies and etc.
Commitment Level
I can start immediately and can commit until the student's final year exam.
Able to explain in English if the student doesn't understand at times.
