Experience/Remarks
I graduated from the Humanities Scholarship Scheme in 2008 and have since been in the army. Having secured an overseas undergraduate scholarship with the Urban Redevelopement Authority, I would be leaving to pursue my higher education in the UK towards the end of Nov next year. Patience and passion are the two traits that separate me from the common tutor you find on the streets. I enjoy teaching. And i hope that my students can enjoy learning from they way i teach.
I feel that it is the onus of every good teacher to invoke in their students a certain ardour for the subject in question. It's a pity to see how substandard teachers kill the passion in their students. It's equally, if not more, heartening to see how my students approach thier books with renewed passion after just a few weeks of my tutelage. I would describe myself as an illustrious and animated tutor, who having gone through the A level system recently is able to relate to my students' difficulties in grasping certain key concepts. I am thus able to break down key concepts into bite-size ideas that students would find easier to understand.
I have 3 years of teaching experience. I was a full time tutor at The Learning Lab - a premier tution agency in singapore - and have had in my free time tutored students from JJ, HCJC, NJC, and ACJC in H2 subjects including Literture, Geography, and Economics.
Commitment Level
I can start from 8th Nov onwards - available on both weekdays and weekends. I would be, however, leaving for my higher education at Oxford in oct this year
