Other Qualifications

I am currently studying at Monash University, Bachelor of Social Work.

Experience/Remarks

I have 2 years of working experience with children in a Voluntary-Welfare Organization setting and 1 year of teaching experience at student care.

My teaching style is to explain the concept first and encourage the child to explain what he/she has understood. This would enable me to understand how much the child has understood. When comes to assessment corrections, I would not provide direct answers instead would let the child try the questions again until he/she gets the correct answers. This is to encourage the child to learn from mistakes and avoid repeating the same mistakes in tests & exams.

I would use small rewards to encourage the child if he/she shows signs of improvement. This would affirm and motivate the child in his/her learning process.

Commitment Level

I am able to start asap and would only be able to commit on every Thurs, Fri and Sat from July 09 onwards. Day time is more preferred, occassional evenings are acceptable.
