Experience/Remarks
I have around 4 months of teaching experience. Currently, I am doing relief teaching in a secondary school. In addition, I am coaching several 'O' Level students, especially in their Chemistry and Physics.
For me, I excel in science-based subjects, especially Chemistry. I understand the concepts behind these subjects, helping me to tackle different questions. I believe that once the student understands the concepts, with some practice, the student will be able to ultilise it with ease to answer questions.
I have also been exposed to various science-related activities. Just recently, I have organised a Science Day for the secondary school that I am doing relief teaching. During my secondary years, I was attached to Temasek Polytechnic to research on what type of high-tech farming gives the highest yield for growing Brassica rapa chinensis (Pak Choi). I was one of the camp helpers in a primary school for E2 Cluster students. I participated in science related activities like Sci-Camp, conducted by Temasek Junior College.
Being exposed to these experiences enabled me to relate the things that I experienced back into my work, helping me in my understanding of that particular subject.
Commitment Level
I am able to start as soon as possible.
Currently, I am waiting for my university course to start in August 2009.
