Experience/Remarks

Tuition is not a permanent solution. Instead, tuition should seek to consolidate one's grasp of concepts and improve learning and revision habits in order to facilitate long term effective learning. This is my personal belief and it will serve as my mantra as I embark on my journey as a tutor.

I am privileged to have worked with students in my past years. During my National Service, I was a training officer in the National Civil Defence Cadet Corps. My job scope involved teaching secondary school cadets both hard (Practical and Theoretical Civil Defence Skills) as well as soft (Leadership Development) skills. Furthermore, I have been guiding my siblings with their studies. Both of them are in junior college presently. As a result, I am well equipped with both experience and resources as a tutor.

There is no one size fits all solution in education. Each individual is unique. I would aim towards catering my pace, methods towards the student's ability and attitude. If a student has difficulties with their schoolwork, that would be of primary concern. However, if another student has strong grasp over basic concepts, I would then aim to expose the student to advance techniques.

Commitment Level

I can start immediately. However, I cannot commit past August, as my University plans are unconfirmed.

I would also be on a short vacation from 11th - 13th May.
