Experience/Remarks
I've taught Secondary School Biology to a girl who aced her exams. Also, I tutored a P4 girl for EMS and she improved from fail grades to all passes in half a year.
As a student, my favourite subjects were Math and Science, so I believe that I would be able to guide students well especially in these areas.
Nowadays, there is an increasing need for students to not only be competent with basic concepts, but also to utilise their knowledge to answer questions appropriately. Hence, I would focus on a systematic approach of grounding students in the basics before moving on to develop a higher-level of critical thinking.
I would also appreciate if the student is able to communicate a specific area/topic/chapter to focus on before lessons, such that I can better prepare the required materials beforehand.
