Experience/Remarks

"Innovator", "educator" and "motivator" are words to describe Darryl Seah for his passion in the education industry. He began teaching in 2005 at Fairfield Methodist Primary School. As a Mass Communication graduate, he incorporated new media into English language lessons. He wrote a Radio Production curriculum to teach Oral Communication. His idea was an attraction in the school's Student Media Centre, which was awarded the Centre of Excellence (English) by MOE in 2007.

Darryl went on to Red Swastika School in 2009 and found his calling - teaching Mathematics, especially to high-ability students. He believes all problem sums can be solved in Short, Accurate and Fast calculations (SAF). He can be radical in his methods, but under his tutelage, every 3 in 4 of his students improve in academic scores.

Soon enough, Darryl discovered the greater oyster in the private education sector. He has been invited constantly to conduct Mathematics problem-solving seminars. He also presented his views and advice at the Singapore Management University in November 2010 on strategic learning in Singapore's primary education system.

He had taught the Gifted programme at Just Education, and currently plans the curriculum at Simon Eio Learning Lab in Clementi West. With his lively and powerful delivery, he made learning enjoyable and achieving distinctions highly possible 100% and 80% A / A* passes for PSLE Mathematics in 2008 and 2010 respectively.
