Coming from a teacher's family, I inherit my parent's passion for teaching and especially like to enjoy the sense of achievement when my students achieve progress in Chinese. I feel the most important thing for Chinese teaching is to cultivate student's interest and confidence in Chinese. Therefore, besides exercise, I make use of other more interesting teaching method like Chinese story-telling. Additionally, instead of making my students do endless exercise, I would like to summarise the general rules and teach them the common techniques for various types of questions.

Being a PR from China, I have been staying in Singapore for 8 years. I am fluent in both Chinese and English. For over 5 years, I have specialized in teaching Chinese part-time for various age groups from primary to JC students and even adults.

Sandy is polite lady with a pleasant personality. An accountant by profession, she loves teaching Chinese to children during her free time. Her passion for teaching has nurtured her students love for Chinese.

Having hailed from a family of teachers, Sandy has an innate passion for tutoring. Her first experience with tutoring was with one of her ex-colleagues child who didnt like learning Chinese. Thinking that its a shame as mastering languages are one of the most important skills to have in life, she strives to help the younger generation understand the importance of it.

Sandy is familiar with the current MOE syllabus for Primary and Secondary Chinese and to keep herself up to date with the current syllabus, she will go through the assessment books in bookstores and also browse MOE's website. She also does not believe in assigning her tutees exercises after exercises. Instead, she focuses on imparting them the techniques of tackling exam questions and how to apply them appropriately. For her younger tutees, Sandy tries to make lessons fun by finding out their likes in certain genres of fiction and educates them through Chinese story-telling sessions.

Sandy also keeps tracks of the progress of her tutees and rewards them with little gifts as encouragement. She also keeps parents updated of their childrens progress and urges them to show their children support in order to aid their learning of Chinese..

Being quite a homebody, Sandy spends her free time reading but yet she also enjoys diversity in her life by making backpacking trips with her friends to widen her horizons.
