Experience/Remarks

I have been teaching tuition for the past four years. I teach mostly upper primary and secondary school pupils.

I believe that the first step to effective teaching is forming a good relationship with the student. I like to be able to communicate effectively with my students besides being able to teach them. Hence, my approach to teaching is that of a friendly one. However, I will be firm when required.

I've taught several students whose grades have improved drastically and consecutively retained me as their tuition teacher. I've taught some students for as long as four years.

Some of the students I've taught have seen their grades improve from borderline passes (50+) to distinctions (80+). I've had two secondary 4 pupils who've had their grades in Science (phy/chem) and A,E Math improve from C5 to A2 and B3 to A1 respectively.

Commitment Level

I can start asap. Once my semester commences on 5 January 2009, I will still continue to teach as per my schedule.
