Experience/Remarks

I've garnered valuable exp in my 7yrs of 1-to-1 and small-grp teaching to preschoolers, pri & sec students as well as adults. I specialise in teaching P1-P6 core subjs. This yr, my attention's on my students from the pri & sec levels.

Students' progress

-P1 & P2 (under sch's Learning Support Prog) improved by 20 marks, passing SA1 in 2mths.

-P3s enjoyed Sci lessons in sch more after our lively introductory lessons. Many topped their Sci, Maths & language papers.

-Unmotivated P4 girl strived for better grades after goal setting session. Two P4s were chosen to become the class monitor & monitress. The boy is into his 2nd yr as a monitor.

-P5s gd at challenging prob sums were given P6 sums to try. They did so with confidence & enthusiasm. A boy surprisingly topped his class for SA2 MT which he most dreaded. A boy with special learning needs improved in Maths & Sci.

-P6s with U-grades (20 marks) gained 10-35 marks per subj in 3mths. Finally, all passed PSLE, making it into normal (acad) & even express stream. P6s who scored A*s & A's got into Nan Hua High Sch & top neighbourhood schs. Continuing to excel, a girl is doing sec 4 syllabus a yr ahead of her peers.

-Recently prepared a foreign student for AEIS exam & subsequently for interview by Methodist Girls' Sch. She got in.

-Currently helping a Sec 2 girl to become an independent learner.

-From E8 result, Sec 5 girl achieved a B4 for 'O' Level E. Maths in 1mth.

Commitment Level

I am committed, patient, encouraging and confident that I can help my students to understand their subjects better.

I communicate regularly with the parents so that they can understand their children's progress and be able to play a part in their children's education.

I strive to motivate and aspire my students to achieve higher marks by engaging and challenging them. Apart from explaining difficult concepts in depth and clearing their doubts, I also highlight important points as well as frequently asked questions for them to take note to help them excel in their exams. I will adopt various methods to teach every student to suit his/her unique style of learning.

I am prepared to give tuition immediately. I am willing to give extra tuition during school and public holidays. Intensive PSLE revision is also available.
