Experience/Remarks

I have one year experience teaching secondary 3 and 4 students. During my time with a particular student taking O levels this year, his grades improved from C6 to A1 for E Math and from E8 to A2 for A Math in his school preliminary exams. His projected grade for both subjects in O levels is A1.

I am a determined person who never gives up easily in the face of adversity, be it in school, while serving my National Service or at school. While these commitments may get hectic at times, I am usually able to take it in my stride and not let it affect the quality of my work. I take pride in everything I do and try to maintain a high standard of work, as can be seen in my academic achievements.

Being a student myself, I can better understand how a student grasps new concepts and can therefore explain it in a more digestible manner. Moreover, my experience in National Service as a commander in an operational unit has taught me patience and interpersonal skills, especially from explaining different field tactics to my men.

As a tutor, I will set high expectations for myself and will be as keen as the student and parents to see marked improvement in my student's work. Given the right opportunity, I am sure I will not disappoint my clients.
